Industries

Since the times of the Dumont family, the industrial area has been present in local development. Currently, the municipality has the following industries and their respective areas.

The industrial sector in the manufacture of peanut sweets occupies an important place in the local economy, there are 3 factories that process the peanuts produced in Dumont and the region. They are: Balsamo, Marindoces and Santa Helena.

But the municipality has a metallurgical industry such as Tecviso, Schiavom, Tecnoval and an industrial cleaning products industry such as Dellx and a dairy industry. It also has a cotton gin and cereal mill and also a small industry producing the famous Dumont sausage.
